Position:  Waking Night Officer

Responsible to:  Team Leader/Care Manager

Hours:   47¾ hours per week

Duties:

  • To work and act within the guidelines of the Team Leaders, your Manager and Company Policies.
  • The completion of all records and paperwork as detailed in the Company Documentation held at the Information Points.
  • To ensure paperwork transfers are undertaken to keep files up to date.
  • To provide care for the young people ensuring individual care plans are adhered to.
  • To maintain the night check system to ensure all young people are settled at bedtimes and remain settled during the night.
  • To ensure the young people are up in the mornings and ready for school/education
  • To ensure that all incidents are adequately reported to your Manager and any member of staff taking over shift.
  • To ensure the home is cleaned and domestic duties are completed in line with the Waking Night checklists
  • To ensure timetables and appointments are kept to of an evening and morning, where appropriate.
  • To plan and implement activities for the young people during the evenings.
  • To liaise with professionals, family and friends as appropriate.
  • To undertake fortnightly supervision with your Team Leader and/or Manager.
  • To attend Company training and staff meetings.
